When configuring the local peer it is necessary to configure the local terminators of data link, one
for each Service Access Point (SAP), with the following command:
set dlsw dlc-binder sap <local sap> remote-sap <remote sap>
In order to remove a local terminator, the following command is used:
set dlsw no-dlc-binder sap <local sap> remote-sap <remote sap>
In the same way , in order to control the binders‟ log the following commands are used:
set dlsw dlc-binder sap <local sap> log on
set dlsw dlc-binder sap <local sap> log level <value>
set dlsw dlc-binder sap <local sap> log off

ONFIGURATION IN A
SDLC
SCENARIO
In SDLC scenario it is necessary to configure the HDLC protocol for the WAN connection:
set wan protocol hdlc
and the V.28 (RS-232) operational mode:
set wan mode v28
It is also possible to configure some operational modes of the physical connection.
In order to set an encoding value different from the default one,
nrz
, the following command is
used:
set cdn encoding nrz|nrzi|fm-mark|fm-space|manchester
the baud-rate:
set cdn baud-rate <value>
The HDLC interface must be set in
ip-unnumbered
mode with the command:
set cdn ipaddr 1.1.1.1
Then there is the SDLC configuration. It is necessary to configure the physical interface:
set sdlc interface hdlc0
and the physical address of the station connected to the router:
set sdlc cu addr <address>
The address must be specified in hexadecimal notation. In order to cancel the assigned address,
the following command is used:
set sdlc cu no-addr <address>
When the local DLSw peer is configured, it is necessary to configure the local terminator of the
associated data link with the following command:
set dlsw sdlc-binder addr <address>
Since the DLSw always acts as connector of two 802.2LANs, it is necessary to configure the
following additional information on the SDLC binder:
the local and remote SAP:
