Device description
The SaneoVITAL massage device
The SaneoVITAL is an electrical stimulation device, which
works with two therapy forms that have already been
scientifically acknowledged in medicine for over 40 years:
TENS

EMS

TENS
is used for the effective treatment of acute and chronic
pain. It involves electrical impulses which, depending on the
stimulation frequency, either bring about a distribution of the
body’s own pain-relieving substances or else block
transmission of pain to the brain.
EMS
, which
is an extremely effective therapy which is
predominantly applied in rehabilitation, is a method which uses
electrical impulses to address certain muscle groups in a
targeted way. Its areas of deployment include the avoidance of
muscle wastage and the re-establishment and relaxing of
muscles. This enables the resolving of painful muscle tensions
in particular.
In the cosmetics area, electrical stimulation is used to
complement some other therapy forms (e.g. light and heat
therapy) to treat cellulite, among other things. In his book,
Weyergans writes: “Electrical stimulation triggers the muscle to
contracts and relaxes precisely. In cosmetics, this is called
‘passive gymnastics’, [...] which leads to smoothing of the skin
from the inside out. As in proper gymnastics, the muscles are
built up, fat deposits and nutrient reserves are partly used up
and converted”.

The positive effect of electrical stimulation of
the lymphatic system is also often used in physiotherapy; it is
regularly used for the preparation and supplementation of
manual lymphatic drainage.
