Lift magnetron (630) out of microwave cavity and discard.
11. Altitude Switch Removal (IPL, Figure 1001 and 1002)
A.
Remove screws (200) in 24 places to remove outer wrap (195).
B.
Turn locking collar ¼ turn counter clockwise. Slide connector up and off the
switch. (Applies to P/Ns 400-1338-02, 400-1409-02 and 400-1746-02 only.)
C.
On P/N 400-1860-01 only, remove port filter (755).
D. Remove screws (305) in two places securing altitude switch mounting plate (300)
to rear panel (310). Remove altitude switch (295) and altitude switch mounting
plate (300) as an assembly.
E. Unscrew altitude switch (295) counter clockwise from altitude switch mounting
plate (300).
12. Magnetron Cooling Fan (IPL, Figure 1001 and 1002)
A.
Remove screws (200) in 24 places to remove outer wrap (195).
B.
Remove altitude switch (295) to gain access to locknuts (220).
C. Remove rear panel screws (315) in three places located below the magnetron
cooling fan.
D. Remove screws (270), nylon flatwashers (265) and locknuts (260) in three places
to release power supply assembly (245) from the rear panel (310).
E. Remove screws (230), locknuts (220) and finger guard (225) from the rear panel
(310). Gently spread the rear panel away from the magnetron (630) to release the
fan (215).
13. Inverter Board (IPL, Figure 1001 and 1002)
A.
Remove screws (200) in 24 places to remove outer wrap (195).
B.
Turn microwave upside down.
C.
Remove screws (160) in six places to release base plate (155).
