Section 8: Plumbing System
4. Open the “low point drains” by turning, then pulling the handles
up. They are installed at the lowest point of the water lines. A la-
bel is placed on the outside of the RV to indicate where the drains
are located. The drains will need to be operated from inside the
RV. Once the label is found on the exterior sidewall, the drains
will be found at a corresponding location in the interior.
5. Drain the sink by removing the drain cap.
6. Turn ON the water pump and allow it to run as needed.
7.
If the RV water heater has bypass valves, set them to the BYPASS configuration (refer
to the
Water Heater Bypass
section).
8.
Operate the toilet flush lever until water stops flowing.
9. Relieve the water pressure using the P&T valve BEFORE removing the water heater
drain plug. If there is any water pressure present, the water will spray out of the open-
ing when the drain plug is removed.
When you are finished draining the fresh water system, reverse these steps and dump the
grey and black water holding tanks. It is normal for some liquid to remain in the fresh water
tank after drainage procedure.
Low Point Drains
Utility Center – 2 Valves (6 In 1)
Your RV may be equipped with a small lockable en-
closed docking station, which provides convenient ac-
cess to certain plumbing system functions at one central
location.
The 6 in 1 utility center contains the following features:
1.
City water / tank fill valve
2. Lighted white switch (switch itself acts as a light
for the panel)
3. Pump switch (lights red when ON)
4. Fresh water connection inlet
5. Outside shower hookup (with quick connect for
the shower hose)
6.
Black tank flush inlet
7. Hookups for satellite TV (up to 3 total connec-
tions)
•
SAT1 input is wired only to the wall plate for
the satellite receiver (can be used with a tri-
pod mounted satellite antenna also).
•
SAT2 input is wired only to the wall faceplate
at the main TV. This connection would not be used for OTA (over-the-air) signals
for local TV stations. There is an HDTV antenna on the roof for local stations and
it is wired separately to the faceplate at the main TV.
•
SAT3 input is wired to wall faceplates of any other secondary TVs in the RV (i.e.
bedroom or exterior). This AUX input is designed for use with an outdoor por-
table satellite dish system mounted on a tripod.
