Everyday use
Turning on and off: turning on or off the television set is carried out by pressing the
A
A
key on the front or side of the television set.
Putting the set on standby: press the Standby
key on the remote control.
The red light on the front of the set remains lit. The TV is under power and consumes a small
amount of electricity.
To leave standby mode
:
- press a numeric key on the remote control,
- press the OK key to turn on the television set on the last channel or last AV programme
watched,
- press the AV key to turn on the television set on the last AV programme watched.
- press the PR+ or PR- keys on the keypad.
Adjusting the volume
:
use the
+
/
-
keys on the remote control or the VOL + /
VOL - keys on the keypad to increase or decrease the sound level.
Mute the sound
(
) :
press this key to momentarily cut the sound or restore it.
Displaying of information:
Analogue reception
Press the INFO key to display the name and number of the channel, time, type of zoom and
type of sound.
If the Programme Guide is available for this channel, the name, start time and length of time is
displayed for the present programme and the following one.
Whenever you turn the television on or change channel, the channel name and number is dis-
played.
The channel number is permanently displayed if you have activated this function in the Préférences
(see page 19).
Digital reception
You can access basic channel information via a banner.
Press the INFO key to display the basic information about the channel.
While this information is displayed:
Using the
/
keys, select the options displayed.Then using
keys:
- Scroll through the channels, then press OK key to display the desired channel.
- Select the desired sound type.
- Select the desired language (depending on broadcast).
- Choose the desired subtitles (depending on broadcast).
Pressing again INFO key, display a short summary of the current programm (depending on
broadcast).
- Press EXIT to exit the information banner.
Access to radio stations (Digital reception only)
Press the RADIO key to enter the radio services application.

Child lock
You can disable the buttons on the TV set so that your children cannot switch the
television on without your permission.The remote control is then required to turn
the set on.To activate this function, you can:
•
program the set to turn off automatically,
•
put the television set into standby mode after programming a wake-up time
(Heures menu),
•
press the
B
key on the remote control for 4 seconds.
When the television set is on standby and locked, the indicator on the front panel
flashes red.
Keep the remote control out of the reach of children.
Picture and sound preferences
Display the menu with the PRESETS key, select the desired line and adjust it to
your preferences.
