Digital Reception – Programming
This menu allows you to forbid or limit access to certain channels.
Timer
The timer can automatically turn on or off your receiver at any time, begin a recording by
configuring the data flow to your videocassette recorder connected via a SCART cable to your
television set, change channel at a given time.To do any of these, follow these steps:
1. Press the DIGITAL key on the remote control.
2. Press the MENU key to display the OVERVIEW.
3. Using the
/
keys of your remote control , select timers and press OK to display
the menu.
- timer number:You can time up to 32 different events.
- status : It must be set to enabled in order to use the timer function, or disabled
to halt the timer functions that you have selected.
- repetition : You can adjust the frequency of the timer mode operation (once, daily,
weekly).
- action : select the operation that you wish to time.
stand-by :Allows the television set to be turned off at the programmed time.
(adjust this time on the start time line).
A message informs you, one minute before the imminent turning off of the television set.
Press the EXIT key to halt the automatic stop.
zap to channel :Allows the automatic changing of the channel at a certain time.
(adjust this time on the start time line).
A message informs you, one minute before the imminent changing of the channel.
Press the EXIT key to cancel the automatic channel change.
TV ON/OFF :The timer will turn on and turn off the television set (if it is on standby) at
the programmed time (set start time and stop time, see below).
A message informs you, one minute before the imminent turning off of the television set.
Press the EXIT key to halt the automatic stop.
VCR ON/OFF : The timer will turn the TV tuner on and off (the screen remains blank
and without sound) at the programmed time (the user must program their video casset-
te recorder to record the broadcast via the Peritel socket).
- day of week : Using the
keys, for the day of the week you wish the action to take
place.
- date :You can choose the start date for the timer action.
Press the OK key to display the calendar. Use the
/
keys to select the month and the
keys to select the day. Confirm your choice using the OK key.
- start time : If a time is already displayed, delete it by pressing the Yellow key.
Using the numeric keys, program the start time for the action of the timer.
- stop time : If a time is already displayed, delete it by pressing the Yellow key.
Using the numeric keys, program the end time for the action of the timer.
This line can only be selected if you have previously selected TV ON/OFF or VCR ON/OFF in the
action line.
- channel :Press the OK key to display the list of channels and using the
/
keys, select
the channel that you wish to see when the timer mode of the receiver is enabled (active).
Confirm your choice with OK.
4. Once these adjustments have been made, press the Green key to save and continue pro-
gramming another event for the timer.
Press EXIT as many times as necessary to quit the menus.
Note:The Timers line do not appears in the OVERVIEW menu if the set is on an AV program-
me.
