13–06 Air Compressor Oil
Level Checking and
Filling, Electric Vehicle
Check the air compressor oil level—in the compres-
sor and the thermal well—once a month.
NOTE: The main fill plug is hollow—this is the
thermal well. The thermal well contains oil and
the temperature probe is installed inside the
well. See ’Thermal Well’ for instructions to check
the oil level.
Air Compressor
1. Locate the sight glass on the air compressor.
See
Fig. 27 . If the oil level is below the top of
the sight glass add compressor oil.
2. Remove the fill plug, with the temperature probe
installed, shown in
Fig. 27 , items 2 and 3, and
discard the fill plug Viton seal.

Ensure that the top arrow on the filter cannister points
up.
