Functional Description
Communication Functions
The AutoXP flow computer uses one communications port definition
block per serial port. The block can be used to specify the port as a Master
or Slave. When in Master mode, the communications block references
contain pointers to any combination of the following types of Master
blocks:
Modbus master communications blocks – Read/Write Modbus
Data
Smart Transducer communications blocks – Read Smart
Transducer Data
Chromatograph communications blocks – Read Gas Quality Data
Tank gauge communications blocks – Read Tank Gauge Data
When in Slave mode, the communications block references contain
pointers to a list of Modbus slave communications blocks and optionally an
alarm callout block.
