5.
Coat the new O-rings with clean compressor oil and
place them in the ORS fittings on the ends of the new
compressor oil filter.
6.
Fasten the new compressor oil filter in place with the
clamp.
7.
Attach and tighten the oil lines to the compressor oil fil-
ter. Hold the oil filter with a back-up wrench on the hex
behind the ORS fitting.
8.
Evacuate the compressor and filter to a maximum of
500 microns to remove trapped air.
9.
Open the service valves, operate the system, and check
the compressor oil filter for leaks.
HOT GAS SOLENOID VALVE (OPTIONAL)
Removal
1.
Recover the refrigerant charge.
2.
Disconnect the wires and remove the coil for the valve.
3.
Unsolder the lines and remove the valve.
Installation
1.
Clean the tubes for soldering.
2.
Remove the coil and place the valve in position.
3.
Solder the inlet and outlet connections. After the valve
cools, install the coil.
4.
Pressurize the refrigeration system and test for leaks.
5.
If no leaks are found, evacuate the system.
6.
Recharge the unit with proper refrigerant and check the
compressor oil.
