8.
Pressurize the refrigeration system and test for leaks. If
no leaks are found, evacuate the system.
9.
Recharge the unit.
PILOT SOLENOID
Removal
1.
Recover the refrigerant.
2.
Disconnect the wires and remove the coil from the
valve.
3.
Unsolder the refrigeration lines.
4.
Remove the mounting bolts and remove the valve.
Installation
1.
Remove the coil from the valve.
2.
Place the valve in the unit and install the mounting
bolts.
3.
Solder the refrigeration lines to the valve.
4.
Install the coil and connect the wires.
5.
Pressurize the refrigeration system and test for leaks. If
no leaks are found, evacuate the system.
6.
Recharge the unit with the proper refrigerant and check
the compressor oil.
SUCTION VIBRASORBER
Removal
1.
Pump down the low side and equalize pressure to
slightly positive.
2.
Unsolder the suction hose from the suction service
valve. Unsolder the connection to the accumulator and
remove from the unit.
Installation
1.
Prepare the suction hose and tube fittings for soldering
by cleaning thoroughly.
2.
Solder the vibrasorber to the suction service valve.
CAUTION: Use a heat sink or wrap vibra-
sorber with wet rags to prevent damaging the
vibrasorber.
3.
Solder the suction hose connection to the accumulator.
4.
Pressurize the low side and check for leaks. If no leaks
are found, evacuate the system.
5.
Open the refrigeration valves and place the unit in oper-
ation.
HIGH PRESSURE CUTOUT SWITCH
Removal
1.
Pump down the low side and equalize the pressure to
slightly positive.
2.
Front seat the discharge and suction service valves.
Recover the refrigerant remaining in the compressor.
3.
Disconnect the wires and remove the high pressure cut-
out switch from the compressor discharge manifold.
Installation
1.
Apply a refrigerant Loctite to the threads of the high
pressure cutout switch.
2.
Install and tighten the high pressure cutout switch and
reconnect the wires.
3.
Pressurize the compressor and test for leaks.
4.
If no leaks are found, open the refrigeration service
valves and place the unit in operation.
