Orion Star Series Meter

Introduction

To access the Portable Meter Battery Door 

Unscrew the 2 screws in the center of the back of the meter.  One is located at 
the bottom and one is in the middle of the back.  These are captive screws and will 
not come out.  With these loose lift the bottom back of the meter to expose the 
batteries.  Install the batteries in the orientation shown in the graphics of the battery 
compartment. 

Note:  The instrument uses four AA Alkaline Batteries.  Do not use 

lithium or rechargeable batteries.  Improper installation of non-

alkaline batteries could create a hazard.

Note: 

After a battery change the real time clock will be off by however much time is 

used to replace the batteries.
