2.2 Rack Mounts
2.2.1 Mounting Brackets
Two types of rack-mount brackets (flanges) can be ordered for the RES-22DCX to
secure the chassis to the 19” rack: brackets with handles (see
A , Figure 2-14 ), and
brackets without handles (see B , Figure 2-14 ). The chassis contains three threaded
screw holes on each side to accommodate #10-32 size screws (included with the
bracket package).
Brackets with handles are used to pull the RES-22DCX from the rack when rack-
mount slides have been installed on the sides of the chassis (see following section).
2.2.2 Rack-Mount Slides (Optional)
Rack-Mount Slides can be mounted on each side of the RES-22DCX for the purpose
of sliding the unit in and out of a rack. Mounting slides are optional and should be
ordered at the time your system is purchased.

Caution: Any screws used to mount a slide to a RES-22DCX chassis must not ex-
ceed a length of 3/8” to prevent excessive penetration of the chassis.
