2.1.6.2 Installing a Power Supply

Perform the following steps to install a power supply:

Insert the replacement power supply into an empty slot with the extraction
handle facing to the right (see

Figure 2-12

Push the power supply carefully into its slot until it is firmly seated (a click
will be heard when the locking lever is securely fastened to the chassis).

Replace and tighten the captive screw that holds the power supply handle
retainer to the chassis (see

Figure 2-12

) to secure both power supply handles.

Secure the power-cord bracket removed in the previous section by refastening
the two captive screws to the chassis.
