Serial Ports E and F (RS232)
There are two serial ports available on the 2P2 PMC/XMC Carrier board that may be
routed to the front panel or the VME P2 connector—Serial Port E (TTYE—RS232)
and Serial Port F (TTYF—RS232). These serial ports are supported by the Siemens
EXAR XR16L2551 DUART serial controller, located on the 2P2 PMC/XMC Car-
rier Board.
Figure 2-9
shows the pin orientation of the serial port connectors.
Use the following connector and cable to connect to the 2P2 PMC/XMC serial ports:
