NOVA OPERATION 43
SHOW EDITING
You can edit the playback levels of any cue of a Show while it live on stage using the Edit Up and Down keys:
EDITING CUE LEVELS
Level editing of a cue must be done with only one Show master up, and all other masters down. The Cue Go and Cue Back
commands are used to find the cue. You can then use the Up and Down keys to edit the cue levels. Remember Record must be
on.
1
Set the Fade Master at Instant, then set the Show master at Full so the first cue is live onstage.
2
Press [CUE GO], or [CUE GO] and [PARK] to select the cue.
3
Hold [UP] or [DOWN] and press Channel Flash keys to edit levels.
Remember that the Up and Down keys edit levels directly in cue memory. In case you need to revert to the original lighting,
remember to record the cue into the Record or Park Buffers before editing the original cue can then be restored later if necessary.
INSERTING OR DELETING CUE STEP
Cue steps cannot be inserted or deleted directly, but you can achieve the same effect by re-recording a new Show using the cues
from the old Show (with or without new cues) and then overwrite the new Show into the old Scenemaster:
1
Set the Fade Master at Instant.
2
Set the Scenemaster at Full so the first cue of the old Show is live onstage.
3
Press [CUE GO] (cue forward), or [CUE GO] and [PARK] (cue back) to select the cue. Press [RECORD].
4
Record further new cues from any other Show, Chase or Scene (or the Channel faders) in order.
5
Hold [RECORD], and press the Flash key of the old Show master. Wait for a long Mimic flash, then press it again
before releasing [RECORD].
COPYING A SHOW
You can copy a Show to any other Scenemaster in the same or any other page as follows:
1
Set the Fade Master at Instant
2
Set the Scenemaster at Full so the first cue of the old Show is live onstage. Press [RECORD].
3
Press [CUE GO]. Press [RECORD].
4
Repeat step 3 until you have recorded all the cues of the Show.
5
Change to a new page if required, then hold [RECORD], and press the Flash key of the new Show Scenemaster.
If there is a long Mimic flash indicating a previous recording under the new master, press the Flash key again to overwrite with the
new Show before releasing [RECORD].
