CUEMASTER II OPERATION
47
EDITING CHASE STEP LEVELS
You can edit the playback levels of any Chase step, and subsequently modify the original step. Level editing of a step can only be carried
out with the Chase stopped. To stop the Chase you must temporarily change it to a Show, and step through it using the Cue Go and Cue
back keys. You can then use the Up and Down keys to edit the step levels as previously described under Scene Editing, before changing
the modified steps back to a Chase. Record must be enabled for level editing.
1 Set the Scene Fade timer at Instant, and the Speed Master at Step Mode.
2 Hold [RECORD] and [CHASE<<>>SHOW], and press the Scenemaster flash key to change the Chase to a Show.
3 Set the Submaster at Full so the first step is live onstage.
4 Press [CUE GO] or [CUE BACK] to select the step to edit. (You can use the Speed master for faster access).
5 Use the Edit Channels Page keys with [UP] or [DOWN] and channel flash keys to edit levels for all 288 channels.
6 Hold [RECORD] and [MODIFY], then press the Submaster Flash key to modify the step.
7 Hold [RECORD] and [CHASE<<>>SHOW], and press the Submaster flash key to change the Show back to a Chase.
Pre-recorded Chase speeds are not changed. Remember that the [UP], [DOWN], and [ALL] keys fade channel levels at the rate set by
the Scene Fade timer. If the time is set to Instant, a four second default fade rate is imposed.
EDITING CHASE STEPS
You can delete Chase steps, insert one or more new steps, copy Chases, or stack a number of Chases either forward or reversed. In
order to insert or delete Chase steps, the Chase must be changed temporarily to a Show as for level editing.
DELETING CHASE STEP
You can delete steps of a Chase one at a time by temporarily changing it to a Show, and setting the step live on stage using the Cue Go
and Cue back keys as at Instruction 4 in the example above. Then proceed as follows:
5 Hold [RECORD] and [DELETE], then press the Flash key of the Submaster to delete the current step.
6 Hold [RECORD] and [CHASE<<>>SHOW], and press the Submaster flash key to change the Show back to a Chase.
INSERTING CHASE STEPS
You can insert one or more new steps from the Record buffer into a Chase AFTER the current step. The new steps may be recorded
from the channel faders, or by using the Record Stack feature (see page 49) to stack other pre-recorded Scenes, Chases, or Shows.
Assuming you have one or more steps recorded in the Record Buffer, proceed from Instruction 4 in the example above:
5 Hold [RECORD] and [INSERT], then press the Flash key of the Submaster to insert the new steps.
6 Hold [RECORD] and [CHASE<<>>SHOW], and press the Submaster flash key to change the Show back to a Chase.
§
Note that you must have previously recorded any insert steps before using this method.
