Note:

Fast NAND boot mode is not supported in DM355. Fast NAND boot mode is superseded by
Deep Sleep mode. Please use Deep Sleep mode instead of Fast NAND boot mode. For
information on Deep Sleep mode, see

.

The DM355 has a power saving mode that is recoverable via a fast NAND boot mode. The process works
as follows:

•

The DM355 ARM prepares for power down, typically after an external microcontroller notifies the ARM
to prepare for power down via an interrupt or serial communication.

•

The ARM puts DRR (typically mDDR) in its self-refresh state.

•

The ARM writes SLEEPENABLE in system register DEEPSLEEEP to stop the DM355 oscillators,
which puts the DM355 in an inactive low power state. .

•

To wakeup from the low power state, an external microcontroller will reset the DM355 while driving
DEEPSLEEPZ/GIO0 low.

•

The RBL will read the bit GIO0_RESET in BOOTCFG to determine the state of DEEPSLEEPZ/GIO0
during reset. If GIO0_RESET is sampled low durring reset, the RBL executes fast NAND boot mode.
