The MIB-Browser shows you also details of your selected data tree item, see Figure 27. This info section
is in the left bottom of the MIB-Browser. Figure 27
shows the details of the data tree item ‘videoBitrate’.
The
syntax or rather the data type of the ‘videoBitrate’ item is an ‘Integer32’ value between 250 and
14000. That means you can choose a video bitrate from 250kBit/s to 14000kBit/s. Furthermore the info
section of the data tree item ‘videoBitrate’ shows you that you have a read-write access. Table 21
describes the information section of the MIB Browser which is shown in Figure 28.

Information Name:
Description:
Name:
This shows you the name of the selected data tree item.
OID:
Object Identifier (OID) is the SNMP number of the selected
item/function.
MIB:
This shows you the name of the MIB.
Syntax:
Integer:
Only entries of integer values are possible.
Integer32:
Only integer values with max 32 bit are possible.
Octet String:
Read-only/read-write numbers and characters (e.g.
Teracue) are allowed.
IP Address:
Read-only/read-write numbers in the IP-address
string (e.g. 172.16.20.100) are allowed.
Access:
The attribute ‘read-only’ or ‘read-write’ shows you whether you can
change the setting of the selected data tree item or whether you
just able to read out the actual setting or state.
Descr:
Shows you a short description of the selected data tree item.
