TCP should only use in environment with a low Round Trip Time >
30 ms.
RTMP/RTSP & UDP (only available, when RTMP option is enabled, see
chapter 3.4.19 on page 48 )
Allow several access to the encoded stream.

TTL (1-255):
Specifies the number of routers/switches how many routers/switches the stream
is allowed to travel/pass.
Join
Own
Multicast:
If this check-box is enabled, the encoder sends IGMP-
2 ‘join-requests’ to
routers/switches in order to keep the multicast port open. Many network switches
and routers (e.g. Cisco) support IGMP-2 which close the port, when none is
receiving the stream, i.e. none is viewing a stream. By enabling this box the
encoder will act as if it is receiving a stream and keep the port open.
.!.
We strongly recommend using this option.
Packet Size:
Specifies the packet size.
Encryption
Passphrase
The ENC-300 is able to encrypt the output.
This is a
proprietary encryption called Teracrypt. The output is not usable for any
other Video Device. They will not even recognize it as a Transport Stream.
It is also not usable for recording.
Best practice are Multicast Destination.
To decrypt this Stream use only:
DEC-300 FW 2.10 or higher
X-Player Version 4.0.0.125 or higher
Please enter the Passphrase here. After you apply the Passphrase the Hash is
shown.
IP address:
Specifies the destination IP-address which the ENC-
300™ shall use for the
encoded video.
If you want to stream a multicast stream:
Please enter in the ‘IP address’ field your desired multicast IP-address, e. g.
239.252.20.100. TCP does not support multicast streaming.
If you want to stream a unicast stream:
Please enter in the ‘IP address’ field the IP-address of the destination, e. g. the IP-
address of DEC-
200™, see Figure 17.
Port (1-65535):
Specifies the port on which the encoder shall stream the video. Enter in this field
the port number which the stream shall have.
If you want to disable the streaming of an additional destination (area 2
– 5), please
enter the value ‘0’ in the ‘Port’ field of the respective destination area.
Transmit Mode:
Automatically set to unicast or multicast, depending on the entered destination IP-
address.
If you use UDP as transport protocol, you can send the input video to maximum
five destinations as multicast and/or unicast streams. This button opens the new
destination mask to define an additional destination. Four additional destination
areas (labelled 2
– 5) are available.
If you use UDP as transport protocol, you can send the input video to maximum
five destinations as multicast and/or unicast streams. This button closes the new
destination mask of the respective destination.
.!.
This does not disable the streaming of the additional
destination. For disabling the streaming of the
additional
destination, please enter the value ‘0’ in
the ‘Port’ field of the
respective destination area. This
does
not
apply
for
the
destination area 1.
Displays the stream of the respective destination area in the XPlayer, if an XPlayer
is installed on the client PC.
.!.
Requirement for this feature: The XPlayer must be installed on the
client PC.
Max Clients:
Specifies the maximum number of allowed decoder clients for the TCP connection.
Maximum 5 decoder clients are possible. This field has only an effect when the
