8. After the charger has turned off, unplug the
charger from the wall outlet.
9. Unplug the charger connector from the
battery connector on the machine.
FOR SAFETY: When Maintaining or Servicing
Machine, Avoid Contact With Battery Acid.
10. Check the electrolyte level in each battery
cell. Add just enough distilled water to bring
the electrolyte level up to the fill rings.
11. Plug the machine connector into the battery
connector.
12. Pull the support arm forward and lower the
solution tank.
13. Rotate the stop arm out of the way to allow
the solution tank to close completely.
CHAINS
WHEEL DRIVE CHAIN
The wheel drive chain is located between the front
wheels. The chain tension should be checked
after every 100 hours of machine operation.
The correct chain tension is 3 mm (0.12 in)
deflection from a force of 3.5 to 4.5 kg (8 to10 lb)
at the midpoint of the span of chain.
STATIC DRAG CHAIN
The static drag chain prevents the buildup of
static electricity in the machine. The chain is
attached to the underside of the machine between
the rear casters. Make sure the chain is making
contact with the floor at all times.
