3.3.3.2.1.2- V/A (only terrestrial band)
The tuned frequency is that taken as video carrier, i.e., that on which the video level is
measured. The audio carrier level is taken as many MHz over the value as instructed in the
Audio information appearing on screen (5.50 in the example).
Pressure on key highlights the tuned frequency information. Once this has been done, we
may vary the tuning by using the or the numerical keyboard.
- V/A Measure. Tuning by frequency -
If we press the key the information on the tuned channel will appear. In this case, the
frequency on which the video level measurement is being made will be the video carrier of the
channel that the equipment will automatically seek.
Therefore, when the equipment is in frequency tuning mode, it is the user’s responsibility to
ensure that the tuned frequency is really the video carrier of the channel on which the V/A
measurement is to be taken, for the measurement to be totally accurate.
