NOTE:
Usually, temperatures are uniform across one or more battery strings. When locating
the temperature probe, make sure the sensor does not touch the battery cabinet as current
discharge pulses may cause incorrect readings.
12. Place the temperature sensor cable on top of the batteries.
13. Turn the
Breaker Disconnect
switch to the “ON” position.
This procedure is complete.
The Low Voltage Disconnect (LVD) automatically disconnects the batteries from the load, at the
preset LVD disconnect voltage, to prevent damage to the batteries due to excessive deep
discharge. The LVD reconnects the batteries automatically after the AC power is restored.
7.3 Hydrogen Gas Ventilation Kit Installation (Optional)
To prevent the build up of gas pressure, install Telect’s Hydrogen gas ventilation kit
(part #305030).

WARNING
!
WARNING! Keep the polyethylene tubes from kinking at any point in the system. Kinking
can cause a build-up of gas pressure in the tubes.
ALERT
!
ALERT! The location of the venting tubes depends on the battery manufacturer. Cap any
unused venting tubes on the batteries.
