Troubleshooting Guide
PROBLEM
POSSIBLE CAUSES
WHAT TO DO
1.
The On / Standby on the front
panel of the receiver is not turned
on.
The power supply is not plugged into
the power outlet or the receiver.
Check that the power supply is
properly installed.
The 0/I rear button is in position 0.
Move the 0/I button to position I.
2.
No Video / Audio signal.
The antenna signal is absent or weak.
Check the exact antenna configuration
and signal presence.
The tuned channel is not broadcasting
or is obsolete.
Change channels and / or update the
channel list.
The HDMI audio-video cable is not
connected properly or is defective.
Check the audio-video connection and
functioning of the its cable.
The HDMI output resolution selected
is not compatible with that of the
screen.
Keeping the screen on, try to restart
the receiver, then adjust the video
resolution.
Low or mute audio volume.
Increase the audio volume level of the
TV and the receiver.
The TV is not switched to the correct
audio-video channel.
Select the AV channel of the TV to
which the receiver is connected.
3.
The channels are not loaded.
Absent or weak antenna signal.
Check the antenna setup and the
presence of the signal.
Transponder / Mux chosen is obsolete
or not transmitting.
Choose another valid one.
The transponder of the the desired
channel is not in the database.
Manually add the transponder
(paragraph 0).
4.
Adjustments made in the menu
are not stored.
Failure to confirm after changing
settings.
Confirm each change by pressing the
appropriate save button.
5.
The remote control does not
work.
The remote is not pointed correctly
towards the receiver.
Check that there are no obstacles in
front of the front panel.
The batteries are low.
Replace the batteries.
Batteries are badly positioned.
Open the battery compartment and
place the batteries properly.
The remote control is in the wrong
mode of operation.
Refer to paragraph 2.3.4 on the
control of the receiver (STB button) or
TV (TV button).
The remote control has fallen and its
components have been damaged.
Contact your dealer to purchase a new
remote control.
6.
The program information is not
displayed.
The specific program does not
transmit information about the event.
The receiver time is not set correctly.
Set the time via the appropriate menu
(paragraph 5.2).
7.
The receiver does not respond to
the remote control buttons or the
front panel.
Temporary Receiver Lock.
Disconnect the power supply of the
Box and restore it after a while.
The tuned channel transmits incorrect
data.
Disconnect the antenna, remove and
restore power to the Box, change the
channel, then reconnect the antenna.
Problems with the remote control.
Check the suggestions relating to the
remote control of this table.
8.
The timer does not start or work
properly.
The broadcaster transmits incorrect
time and/or date information.
The receiver clock is not set correctly.
Adjust the receiver time (paragraph
5.2).
9.
The USB memory is not
recognized.
USB memory is not properly
formatted.
Format the memory with FAT32 or
NTFS File System.
The USB memory is not compatible.
Try another USB memory.
Only a USB port on the box is not
enough to power the memory.
Use an external power supply for the
memory.
