a. Set the VO LT S /D IV switch to .1.
b. Connect the 10X probe (P6012) to the vertical IN
PUT connector.
c. Install tho BNC-to-post adapter on the output of the
GR to BNC adapter.
h. CHECK—CRT display for square corner within 3%.
i. ADJUST—C413 (see Fig. 5-12B) for best square
corner on the displayed waveform (use low-capacitanco
screwdriver).
j. Return the Variable VO LT S /D IV control to C A LI
BRATED.
k. Repeat parts c through j until best response is
obtained.

. Connect the 2X attenuator between the BNC cable
and the 5X attenuator.
m. CHECK—CRT display at each calibrated VO LTS/
D IV switch setting listed in Table 5-2 for square corner
within 3%. Remove the attenuators and termination as
d. Connect the 10X probe tip to the BNC-to-post
adapter. Connect the probe ground strap to the ground post
on the square-wave generator.
e. Set the square wave generator for a four division dis
play at one kilohertz.
f. Compensate the probe as described in the probe
instruction manual.

setting listed in fable 5-3 for flat top within 3%. Reset the
generator output amplitude at each VO LT S /D IV switch
setting to maintain a four division display, or for maximum
vertical deflection in the 10 position.
h. A D JU S T -V O L T S /D IV switch shunt compensation
as given in Table 5-3 for best flat top on the displayed
