My TEK-AT4LVG is used in a RS-485 party line network. The network is flaky
(intermittent). Any reasons ?
A4.
In party line operation, 120 ohms termination resistors are used on both ends of the
network. All TEKNOR SBCs are shipped with default 120 ohms resistors on both
TX(+/-) and RX(+/-) lines. For the nodes in the middle of the transmission line,
those resistors (R110 and R112) should be removed.
Q5.
I connected serial cables that I already had (10 pin header to DB9) but I cannot
get any of the serial port to work. What’s wrong ?
A5.
Cables provided with typical serial cards will not work because of the different
pinout. A direct pin to pin cable (from DB9 to 10 pin header) must be used or order
TEKNOR’s cable #150-019 from your distributor.
Q6.
The PS/2 mouse is not working. What’s wrong with it ?
A6.
Make sure that the mouse driver provided by the mouse manufacturer is installed.
