Torsional and bending moments are to be avoided

•
Torsional moments, for example, due to the rope constructions, bending
moments and lateral forces cause measurement errors and can damage
the tension link permanently.
•
It is important to ensure that the force is introduced exclusively through
the bolts and never through the fork.
•
Bolt diameter should always be chosen to match the bore diameter of
the tension link. Too little bolt diameter may cause measurement errors
or damage to the inner bore surface.
•
Force shunts any kind, for example by spacer rings, should be avoided.
This can also lead to measurement errors.
