2.4.2 - Function description
Starting
During this mode, the board close output “start” on terminal 6.4 and close also output “electrovalve” on terminal 6.5; the attempt lenght is stored in
parameter P04.07. If during the attempt the values about engine running status are not reached (parameters from P0401 to P0404), the TE805
waits a pause before next attempts (parameter P04.08), then try again. If the board doesn’t detect the engine running status, the procedure continue
for the number of attemps programmed in parameter P04.06; after last failed attempt, the board shows A12 about “Starting failure”.
During the starting attempts, not all the protections are enable.
When one value about the engine running status is detected, the board automatically remove the output signal to cranking motor on terminal 6.4.
After it, “engine running” green led is blinking and after the time in parameter P05.01 all the protections are enable; now “engine running” green led
still ON.
- Glow plugs:
before every starting attempt, the output programmed for “glow plugs” (normally terminal 6.3) is closed for the time in P04.05.
- Choke:
during the starting, the output programmed for “choke” is closed (normally terminal 6.5) for the maximum time in P04.15; if the value in
parameter P04.16 (% of nominal voltage) is reached, the output opens also if this maximum time is not expired.
- Fuel electrovalve:
this output (normally on terminal 6.5) close just before starting: it re-opens only between one starting attempts and the next one
(by factory programmation) or it re-opens definetively to stop the engine.
- Decelerator:
after the engine running detection, the board close this output (normally on terminal 6.3) for the time stored in P04.10, to pre-heat the
engine with low RPM. During this time, elctrical and RPM alarms (Voltage, Frequency, “W”) are disabled.
If before starting the board detects the engine running status, it inhibits the start. Check the alternator batterycharger connection and, if is not used,
disable parameters P04.01 and P04.04.
Stopping
During the stopping, TE805 board begins the cooiling time (if enabled) by opening the load from generator side for the time in P04.11. After it, the
board opens the fuel electrovalve output (normallly on terminal 6.5) or closes for, the time in P04.12, the stop electromagnet output.
Remote start (input on terminal 8.2)
This function is enable only in Automatic mode.
When input 8.2 is closed to negative, the TE805 begins starting procedure. When this input re-opens, the board begins the stopping procedure.
If during a remote start a mains failure occours, the board switches load on generator side; if the remote start input re-opens, the board wait mains
return to begin the stopping procedure. If the mains return when remote start still closed, the board re-switch power on mains side but the generator
still running untill the input re-opens.
Remote stop (input on terminal 8.6)
This function is enable only in Automatic mode.
If this input closes before starting, it disables the generator starting. If this input closes when the generator is running, board begins the stopping
procedure. When this input re-opens, automatically is re-enable the starting.
If both inputs remote start and remote stop is closed, the priority is on remote stop: generator can’t start or begin stopping procedure.
Special functions EJP, EJP/T and SCR (enabled only in automatic mode)
EJP:
you need to program one input for “remote start” (normally remains terminal 8.2) and one input for “changeover switch” function (normally is
used terminal 8.6). When 8.2 is closed, TE805 begins the starting procedure after the time in P11.15. When terminal 8.6 closes, if the engine is
working correctly, TE805 switches the load from mains to generator side. Load supply returns on mains side only if terminal 8.6 re-opens; stopping
procedure begins when terminal 8.2 re-opens. All the alarms and the protections works in normal conditions. If the generator is working and an
alarm occours, TE805 doesn’t switch load on mains side by factory programmation: to change this function check P11.17.
EJP/T:
this function is the “one wire” solution of EJP. When remote start input closes, TE805 begins the starting procedure after the time in P11.15
then it waits the time in P11.16 and it switches load from mains to generator side. Load supply returns on mains side and stopping procedure begins
only when terminal 8.2 re-opens. All the alarms and the protections works in normal conditions. If the generator is working and an alarm occours,
TE805 doesn’t switch load on mains side by factory programmation: to change this function check P11.17.
SCR:
this function is identical to EJP function, but without delay times on generator starting and load switching (P11.15 and P11.16). When remote
starts closes, TE805 begins starting procedure and when changeover input closes, TE805 swithes the load from mains to generator side (if the time
in P07.05 is passed; if not, TE805 waits this time).
2.4.3 - Measures
By MEAS button you can scroll the measures
If no buttons are pushed for the time in P01.09, TE805 return automaticcaly on the main measure: mains voltage V MAINS if the generator is in stop
or generator voltage V GEN if it works.
PHASE buttons permits to scroll the measures showed about the 3 phases (L1, L2, L3)

Hours
led on: display shows
hourcounter.
In all the operating modes AUT, MAN and TEST, when the board detects the engine running status, it
begins to counting of the working hours. This value can be reset only by “Commands menu”. When the hours stored reaches 9999, the counting
continue from 10.00 hours. The hourcounter values remains stored also if battery supply is disconnected.
Maint
led on: display show the residual hours to generator
