Reassembly and Clearance Checks
5. Determine rotor to block and blade slot clearances.
• Record these measurements as “as assembled” clearances.
6. Assemble inner unit into outer housing.
• Clean the machined surfaces of the outlet port of the inner unit and outer housing with
alcohol or solvent. Do not use a scraper or screwdriver on these surfaces. See Figure
31.
• Coat both surfaces with Loctite 518. (See Figure 31).
• Lower inner unit into outer housing. Apply Molykote O-ring grease to the O-rings on
the cap screws and installing washers, draw inner unit up to seal outlet port (if cinch
bolts have O-rings). See Table 5 for torque values.

For cinch bolts that don't have an O-ring, refer to Figure 32 for sealing. See Table 5
for torque values.

NOTES:
• Clean all sealing surfaces of old gasket material.
• Clean all sealing surfaces of oils and contamination.
• Make sure surface is dry before applying the Loctite 518.
• For additional application information or guidance reference
the Loctite technical data sheet for the product.

STEP 1:
• Clean these surfaces
of old gasket material
and fluids.
• Dry surface
thoroughly.
STEP 3:
• Apply a thick
continuous bead of
Loctite 518 around
the entire perimeter
of the sealing face of
the inner mechanism
that seats against the
inside of the meter
housing as shown.
• The bead diameter
should be 3/8 to 1/2
inch in thickness.
