5. Programming Procedure
5.1 Introduction
The instrument can store up to thirty programs, which contain the following
parameters:
Name
Name for the program, up to eight characters long
Plate
The plate type number (1 - 9)
Manifold
The type of manifold that is to be used (8, 12, 16 or
384 Well Manifold)
Disp. Rate
The speed at which the solution is dispensed
Asp. Rate
The speed at which the solution is aspirated
Crosswise
Selection if crosswise aspiration is to be used if the plate
type has flat bottom wells.
Select Strips
Select if the number of strips or individual strips can be
selected.
Mode
The selection of which operating mode is to be used
(plate or strip)
Process Steps
Each of the programs can contain up to a maximum of sixty
different or equal processing steps in a number of cycles.
The following processing steps are available:
•
Aspirate:
Aspirate solution out of the wells
•
Wash:
Aspirate and dispense a solution
•
Dispense:
Dispense a solution
•
Soak:
Leave the solution in the wells for a time, with or without
shaking.
•
End:
End the programming procedure for this cycle.
