3. Instructions for use
3.1. Before use:

3.1.1. Remove the appliance’s protective film(if ap

-

plicable).

3.1.2. Before using the product for the first time, clean

the parts that will come into contact with food in the
manner described in the cleaning section.
3.1.3. Attach the water collection container to the ap-
pliance, simply slide it into place (refer to diagram) The
water collection container will collect any access liquid
generated by the steam.

3.2. Use and care

:

3.2.1. Unroll the power cord completely before plug-
ging it in.

3.2.2. Place your appliance on a flat, dry, stable

surface.
3.2.3. Connect the power cord securely to the pressure
cooker to prevent arcing and unit failure.
3.2.4. Connect the appliance to the mains power sup-

ply.

3.3 Browning / Sealing:

3.3.1. Place the pressure cooker onto the kitchen work
surface, plug it in and press the Standby button.
3.3.2. The display will show the default screen.
3.3.3. Add the apporpriate amount of oil to the pan for
the qauntity of meat you wish to seal.
3.3.4. We recommend that approximately two table-
spoons of vegetable oil is suitable to seal between
800g-1200g of meat. This can however be varied
depending on personal taste and the amount of fat in
the meat being sealed.
3.3.5. To select the sealing function, press the function
button once, and the display will show 0:15 minutes on
the timer, and the browning indicator will be illuminated.
3.3.6. THe pressure cooker will then start to heat up
and the timer will begin to countdown. The oil will take
approximately 5 minutes to reach the correct tempera-
ture for sealing/browning meat 9i.e. when the timer
reads 0:10)
3.3.7. A good way to test if the oil is hot enough is
to add a small piece of meat of onion to the pan. If it

sizzles when it hits the oil, the temperature is sufficient

to seal/brown. If it does not sizzle, let the pan heat up
for another minute or so and then test again.
3.3.8. Add the meat to the pan and stir regularly until
the outside of the meat is sealed/browned. When the

timer reaches zero, the pressure cooker will beep five

times and the cooking process will stop. If your mean
is sealed before the timer reaches zero, press the Keep
warm/ cancel button once. The pressure cooker will
beep once, and the cooking process will stop. The
screen wil return to th default display.
3.3.9. If your meat needs a few extra minutes sealing
after the timer has reached zero, simply press the func-
tion button once to start the sealing/browning function
again. As explained above, to cancel the sealing
function before the timer reaches zero, press the Keep
warm/cancel button once.

Please note:

Do not start the Sealing/browning func-

tion without the pan in the base unit as this will make
the product overheat. You should not start the sealing/
browning function without adding oil to the pan.
