Precautions in operating the Tatu Back Hoe
The oprator must familiarize himself with the controls and know the safety
measures before using the Tatu Back Hoe.
- Only the operator, positioned in the driver seat, can move the retro.
- Do not allow any persons or animals to come near.
- Do not carry passengers on the tractor or on the retro.
- Inspect the area before starting to work, avoid areas close to eletric cables. Be
careful with pipes and underground piping, posts, etc.
- Do not begin work before lowering the stabilizing arms.
- Never use the retro to lift persons or animals. Do not use it to push things or
drive in stakes.
- Do not tie cables or chains to the retro to lift loads.
- On sloping areas, avoid working with the bucket facing the gully, the retro
can fall forward or to the side.
- Be very careful on flooded or loose surfaces.
- Do not excavate close to the stabilizing arms, as the ground could cramble
under the Tatu Back Hoe.
- Do not check leaks with your hands, as the high pressure can cause serious
injury. Use cardboard or some other appropriate object.
- The pressure of the system should be released before disconnecting any hose.
- To park the tractor or uncouple the retro, choose a flat place and lower the
stabilizing arms and the bucket to the ground.
- Always be attentive of the work being done.
- Know the limitations of the Tatu Back Hoe. Do not use it for pruposes for which
it was not intended.
- Never operate the Tatu Back Hoe from its structure or next to it. Always operate
it from the driver seat.
- Wear clothes and adequate shoes to operate the tractor and the Tatu Back
Hoe.
