TASCAM SS-R1/SS-R05
Selecting the input source
You can select the input source (recording source) from
three types of input: analog balanced (SS-R1 only), analog
unbalanced, and digital.
To select an input source you can use the menu or the
remote’s
INPUT SEL
key.
NOTE
You can’t change the input source during recording.
The SS-R1/SS-R05 can record MP3 or WAV format
(44.1/48 kHz) audio to a CompactFlash card.
The following explanations assume that a recordable
CompactFlash card has been inserted, that the necessary
connections have been completed, and that the SS-R1/
SS-R05 is powered-on.

Unexpected power interruptions
This unit has an automatic saving function to prevent
the complete loss of track recordings should the power
be interrupted unexpectedly when recording to a
CompactFlash card. The function saves data up to 25
seconds before the power interruption.
NOTE
Due to the nature of CompactFlash cards, all files on
•
the card could be lost if the power is turned off or the
card is removed from the unit while data is being writ-
ten to the system area.
This function is not intended to be used to turn the
•
power off during recording with an external timer, for
example.
