Creating a New Recording Alias
Only administrators of the
TANDBERG Content Server
can create recording aliases.
Click the
Add Recording Alias
button on the page to create
a new recording alias.
Up to 24 recording aliases
can be created when the
Content Server is registered
to the gatekeeper in Terminal
mode. There is no limit on the
number of aliases when the
Content Server is registered
to the gatekeeper in Gateway
mode.
About Recording Aliases
An Overview of the Options
Name
.
Enter a meaningful name for the alias.
Recording Alias name is displayed in the list of
recording aliases, in the drop down menu when
creating an ad hoc conference from the Create
Conference page and from the TMS booking
page.
Owner
.
The default owner of all System aliases
is the local administrator.
For Personal Recording Aliases (when the
System Alias checkbox is not selected), you
may choose the Owner of the Recording Alias
from the drop down menu. The list displays
users and groups whose role on the Content
Server is

Creating New Aliases

System Alias.
If you select the
System Alias
checkbox, the alias will be available for
all users for dialing out from the Content
Server’s Create Conference page and all users
scheduling calls from TMS.
If you do not select the
System Alias
checkbox,
the Recording alias becomes a Personal alias.
Personal Recording Aliases are available on
the Content Server’s Create Conference page
and TMS’s booking page only to the Owner of
that Alias. The Owner will also be able to edit
conferences created using the alias. .
