6.3 System Configuration
This menu allows for configuration of some system settings for the BakStor.
6.3.1 Setting a Password for the Administrator
This allows for setting and changing the password used to access the HTTP interface of the
BakStor
Choose Configuration ? Administrator Settings
Enter the new password 2 times and click the ACCEPT button.
Note that the password needs to be between 4 and 16 characters and can only include the
characters [aA –zZ] and [0 –9]
6.3.2 Setting the System Time
Choose Configuration ? Set Date/Time
The BakStor products use an internal clock that display time in UTC (Universal Time
Coordinates). When setting the clock ensure that correct time is entered in UTC.
6.3.3 Setting an Email Address for Notifications
The BakStor can be configured to send emails for system events.
Choose Configuration ? Set Email notification
The following information is needed:
Email address of the recipient
Address of a server that will accept SMTP requests
Port number that the mail server will accept SMTP requests on
Email sender, an email alias for the BakStor. This can help the reception when setting up
mail filters etc.
Emails can be configured to be send for all system events (Always), just system failures
(Failure) or never (Never)
