Functional Description

Internal Ethernet Interface

The printer has a Ethernet 10Base-TX or 100Base-TX interface with RJ-45 socket
connectors. Connect the Ethernet cable to the network interface port RJ-45 connector
on the rear center of the printer.

There are two status lights (LEDs) next to the RJ-45 connector on the rear panel.

– Right green light is blinking: Shows network activity.

– Left yellow light (Duplex Status) is solid: Shows network interface is in full duplex.

– Left yellow light (Duplex Status) is off: Shows network interface is in half duplex.

Remark:

After switching on the printer, both LEDs are on for approx. 1–2 seconds. Then off.

The first half of initializing is finished, when the green LED shows net-activity. The
interface takes another 10–20 seconds in order to finish initializing and to accept
data.
