To feed cabling into the cabinet:
Replacing Cabinet Components
Replace cabinet components of the Taktis Fire Control Panel to prepare for connecting standby-battery
and AC power.
To replace cabinet components of the Taktis Fire Control Panel:
Replacing and Connecting Standby-Batteries
The Taktis Fire Control Panel provides an Amp-hour capacity maximum of 26 AH for 5.25 Amp Power Supplies
and 45 AH for 10.25 Amp Power Supplies.
Reference Appendix C, Calculations for determining the battery capacity of your fire alarm system.
1 Remove knockout-tabs from the Taktis cabinet according to the installation mounting requirements.
2 Thread AC power-cabling into one of the cabinet-holes provided by the knockout-tabs.
3 Thread all other cabling into cabinet-holes on the opposite side of the AC power cabling. Remove additional
knockout-holes directly adjacent to this knockout-hole, to provide space for more cabling.
1 Replace the back-plate in the cabinet-box.

2 Replace the lid and fascia on the cabinet-box.
Reference “Removing Cabinet Components” for lid attaching details.
3 Replace and connect standby-batteries in the base of the cabinet-box.
4 Connect and dress cabling of the Taktis Fire Control Panel.
Reference “Removing Cabinet Components” for earthing connections of the lid, fascia, back-plate and cabinet-box.
5 Close and lock the lid of the Taktis Fire Control Panel.
CAUTION!
Do not route addressable cabling through the same conduit as AC lines.
CAUTION!
Battery terminal shorts can reduce the life of the standby-batteries and in extreme cases can cause harm
to individuals. Do not permit battery terminals to short while connecting standby-batteries.
Handle standby-batteries with care.
