Carefully lift the bottom stack off of the securing posts.
NOTE
: The thermocouples are secured to the
bottom plate,
DO NOT
lift the bottom stack more than the thermocouples will allow.
CAUTION: Damage can occur if care is not taken when lifting the bottom stack.

Using a hex key, loosen the stack spacer, then remove it from under the bottom stack.

Temporarily place the bottom stack back on the securing posts.
Installing the Stack Spacer

Clean both the top and bottom stack surfaces with a lint-free cloth and a small amount of isopropyl alcohol.

Lift the bottom stack off of the securing posts and insert the stack spacer using a hex key.

Place the bottom stack back onto the securing posts. Make sure that all of the bottom stack components
are situated correctly.

Place a clean sample onto the bottom stack surface or simply put the two stack faces together.

Lower the top stack to apply pressure to the bottom stack. Make sure that the bottom stack is correctly
aligned and proper contact between all surfaces is maintained. If a problem is found, release the pressure
to the bottom stack.

Replace the two retaining screws directly under the bottom stack.

Raise the top stack and remove the sample.
