b. An independent GROUND is required on the power connection where the instrument is being installed.
Improper grounding may cause severe damage for which supplier will not accept responsibility.
c. The instrument is supplied with a 1.22m (4 ft) length of 3.175 mm (.125 in) tube and a 3.175 mm (.125
in) to 6.35 mm (.25 in) expander fitting to connect the purge gas to the instrument. The customer is
required to make all hose connections. A flow meter is required for control of the furnace chamber
“flush” gas (not supplied).
d. The customer is required to supply either compressed air, dried and filtered, to 10 microns, or laboratory
grade inert gas (i.e.N

from a high pressure cylinder) for operating the pneumatic system.
e. Operating below the minimum chiller coolant level will result in erratic operation. A chiller/circulator is
recommended for this instrument. Consult the chiller/circulator manual for specifications concerning
appropriate fluid types. The instrument is supplied with insulated hoses to attach to a chiller/circulator.
