Requesting the board number of installed cards
Use F42 to set up the output on the Multicode Output card(s). Use the following format to request the
board number(s) of the installed card(s):
F42<CR><LF>
The XLi responds using the following format:
F42<S>B<S><N><CR><LF>
(one board installed)
or
F42<S>B<S><N><S><N>...<CR><LF>
(two or more boards installed)
where:
For example, enter:
F42<CR>
The XLi responds that one board, board 2 in this case, is present:
F42 B 2<CR><LF>
Or, that multiple boards, boards 2 and 4 in this case, are present:
F42 B 2 4<CR><LF>
Or, that no boards are present:
NO MULTICODE BOARDS
Requesting the time code settings of a specific output port
Use the following format to request the time code settings of a specific output on a specific card:
F42
= ASCII string representing the Function Number
<CR>
= carriage return character.
<LF>
= line
feed
character.

= space

= the board number of a multi code card, 1 to 10
