TURNING THE ANSWERING SYSTEM ON/OFF
1) To turn the answering system on, press
ANSWER
.
The current greeting message will be played and
you will hear a tone. The message counter display
the number of messages stored in memory. If the
display flashes, then there are new messages
waiting for you.
2) To turn the answering system off, press
ANSWER
again. After the announcement “Answer system is
off” the message counter display goes out.

Using the Menu Mode
The Menu mode allows you to set the following
Answering System functions.
• To scroll through the menu option, repeatedly press
MENU/CLOCK
. The system returns to standby after
the last menu option. A confirmation tone sounds to
indicate Standby Mode.
• If any of the following occurs during menu setup,
the menu mode is canceled. Start over with menu
function again.
-Press
TALK
-Press
PLAY/STOP
-10 seconds lapse of time without a key press
-Receive a call
• If the system remains idle for about five seconds
after the announcement, the system returns to
standby. Once
or
/VOLUME/SELECT
is
pressed, the idle time is extended to ten seconds.

• For your convenience, voice prompts will guide you through the menu mode.
• To exit menu mode, press
PLAY/STOP
. To move to the next menu option,
press
MENU/CLOCK
.
