7. Connection
The camera is equipped with a connection cable with two connectors on the end.
The video signal (PAL) is available through the RCA connector. Use a suitable adapter if you
cannot use an RCA video cable.
The camera is connected to the external power supply through the round socket (direct current,
12 V/DC). A suitable round plug is needed for connection, outer diameter 5.5 mm, inner diameter
2.1 mm. The outer contact of the round plug should be Minus/“-”, the inner contact Plus/“+”.
The camera will be damaged if it is not connected correctly or is connected to the wrong
voltage; loss of warranty!
If you install and use the camera in outdoor areas, the two connectors may be placed only in a
location that is protected from moisture. On this point, see Chapter 6. If this is not observed, the
connectors will corrode!
Set the correct input channel on the display device to display the camera image.
If necessary, the camera is to be correctly oriented so that you can monitor the desired
fi
eld of
view.
On the back of the camera, there is a setting option for the zoom lens; you can also correct the
focus accordingly to sharpen the image. For this purpose, see chapter 8 .
In the dark, the IR LEDs are activated automatically. However, the LEDs are not visible to the
human eye. Please bear in mind that the image on a connected monitor is not displayed in colour
at night, but rather in black and white.
