9.1) REGULAR CHECKUP
1) Regularly conduct cleaning, lubrication, and grease supply on particular parts of the machine.
2) Check the tension of each driving belts.
3) If regular checkup is not conducted, the following problems might occur.
- Erosion of PC board
- Damage to semi-conductor device on the PC board
- Mal-operation of the floppy diskette driver
- Incomplete contact of the connector
- Abnormal abrasion of machine parts stemming from insufficient lubrication and grease supply

Remove the needle plate and pull the
moving blade(a) toward the front as in
the figure. Then start cleaning and when
the cleaning is done, put the blade back to
the original position by following the
reverse order.

Carry out the machine checkup in compliance with the safety rules on machine and
electricity.
