8.7) ASSEMBLY OF THREAD SENSOR AND FUNCTIONS
8.7.1) Functions of Thread Sensor
The thread sensor detects the breaks of the upper and lower threads to prevent the creation of low-quality
embroidery work. The smooth rotation of the thread sensing roller enables the sensor to detect thread break.
Therefore, if the thread sensing roller does not properly rotate, the false detection of thread break might occur.
8.7.2) Disassembly and Reassembly of Thread Sensor
The disassembly and reassembly of the thread sensor is needed when the thread sensing roller does not
properly operate. By disassembling the thread sensing roller, dusts and foreign materials, which block smooth
rotation of the roller, can be removed. Upon disassembly, remove the cover of the thread tension adjusting
plate and separate various cables on the thread sensing board. Then loosen the tightening screw for the roller
base to disassemble the entire thread sensor. This way, the thread sensing roller and the bush bearing can be
separated as well

When assembling the thread sensing roller, check the location of the sensor groove and
the film on the thread sensor board.
According to the location of the thread sensor board, the sensor might not function.
The location of the thread sensor board can be adjusted by loosening the tightening screw
for the board base.
