Tap geometries
Similar to other sensor readout technologies Camera Link is sending
many pixel values in parallel at the same time. The image can be split in
“taps” or “channels” which can be sent in parallel. The tap geometry is
describing how many taps are read and how they are transmitted through
the Camera Link interface.
The maximum camera speed is limited by the tap configuration being
used.

Camera Link CMOS sensor tap config
The maximum camera speed is limited by several factors, the tap
configuration being used is one of them.
CMOS sensors do not have taps. Nevertheless, the CameraLink protocol
requires to use a tap configuration to create valid data transfer. Please
use one of the tap configurations as below.
