Defragmentation

  option  is  used  to  make 

the 

instrument’s memory space contiguous. 

To 

perform 

defragmentation, 

press 

the 

<ENTER>

  key.  The  instrument  will  require 

confirmation of the performed operation.

 the instrument checks whether 

memory  is  contiguous  or  not.  If  the  memory  is 
contiguous, the defragmentation is not executed, 
and the special message is displayed.

4.3.10.5  Checking free memory space 

– Free Space

 

The 

Free Space

 position is used to read out the 

free space of the instrument’s memory. 

The  instrument’s  memory  is  divided  into  two 
parts. One part is dedicated for saving the 

Wave

 

files  and  its  size  is  equal  to  15488 KB.  The 
second part is used for saving the 

Logger

 files 

and its size is equal to 14848 KB.

4.3.11  Configuring the remote communication 

– Remote 

The 

Remote

  position  opens  a  screen  which 

allows  to  configure  the  parameters  of  the  data 
transmission  via  GPRS  connection.  This 
configuration is essential when the instrument is 
a  part  of  the  SV 258 PRO  monitoring  station, 
equipped with the 3G modem.
