6. Slide the front wheel forward.
NOTE: Never squeeze the front brake
lever with the wheel removed. It is very
difficult to force the pads back into the
caliper assembly.
7. To reinstall the wheel assembly,
reverse the sequence described
above.
8. After installing the wheel, apply the
front brake several times to restore
the proper lever stroke.
WARNING
Failure to extend brake pads after
installing the wheel can cause poor
braking performance and may result
in an accident.
Before riding, “pump” the brake
repeatedly until the brake pads are
pressed against the brake disks and
proper lever stroke and firm feel are
restored. Also check that the wheel
rotates freely.
