6. Smear a little engine oil around the
rubber gasket of the new oil filter.
7. Screw the new filter by hand until the
filter gasket contacts the mounting
surface (a small resistance will be
felt).
NOTE: To tighten the oil filter properly, it
is important to accurately identify the
position at which the filter gasket first
contacts the mounting surface.
CAUTION
Using an oil filter with the wrong
design or thread specifications can
cause oil leaks or engine damage.
Use a genuine SUZUKI oil filter or an
equivalent filter designed for your
motorcycle.
