IDE/SATA Configuration
When this submenu is selected, the AMI BIOS automatically detects the presence
of the IDE devices and displays the following items:
SATA Mode
This item selects the mode for the installed drives. The options are Disabled, IDE
Mode,
AHCI Mode
and RAID Mode.
IDE Mode
The following items are displayed when IDE Mode is selected:
IDE Legacy / Native Mode Selection
Use this feature to specify the operating mode of the integrated SATA
controllers. The options are
Native
and Legacy.
SATA Port0~Port5
This item displays the information detected on the installed SATA drives
on the particular SATA port.
AHCI Mode
The following items are displayed when AHCI Mode is selected:
Aggressive Link Power Management
When Enabled, the SATA AHCI controller manages the power usage of
the SATA link. The controller will put the link in a low power mode dur-
ing extended periods of I/O inactivity, and will return the link to an active
state when I/O activity resumes. The options are
Enabled
and Disabled.
SATA Port0~Port5
This item displays the information detected on the installed SATA drives
on the particular SATA port.
Hot Plug
Set this item to Enabled for hot-plugging support. The options are
Enabled
and Disabled.
Staggered Spin Up
Set this item to Enabled for Staggered Spin-up support. The options
are Enabled and
Disabled
