2-4 Installing DIMMs
CAUTION
Exercise extreme care when installing or removing DIMM
modules to prevent any possible damage.
Memory Module Installation (See Figure 2-2)
1. Insert each memory module vertically into a DIMM slot. Pay attention
to the two notches along the bottom of the module to prevent
inserting the module incorrectly.
2. Gently press down on the memory module until it snaps into place.
3. Three PC 133 SDRAM sockets support up to 3 GB PC133/PC100
unbuffered SDRAM. ECC type memory is supported. PC133 and
PC100 memory are both fully supported at their respective speeds.
To Install:
Insert module
vertically and
press down
until it snaps
into place.
Pay attention
to the two
notches.

To Remove:
Use your
thumbs gently
to push each
release tab
outward to
release the
DIMM from
the slot.
