Spread Spectrum Enable/
Disable
Jumper JP5 is used to enable or
disable the Spread Spectrum fea-
ture. Spread Spectrum is a tech-
nique used to stabilize operation
when a system is being affected
by electromagnetic interference.
The normal (default) position is
closed to enable Spread Spectrum.

Third Power Supply Fail
Alarm Enable/Disable
T h i s f e a t u r e i s f o r S u p e r m i c r o
triple redundant power supplies
only. When enabled, the system
will notify you in the event of a
power supply failure. This feature
assumes that three power supply
units are installed in the chassis,
with one acting as a backup. If
you only have one or two power
supply units installed, you should
disable this with JP47 to prevent
false alarms. See the table on the
right for jumper settings.
